Mathematics & Statistics – ( Shift I )

The department of Mathematics was started in the year 2011.  Since its inception, the department has demonstrated a student-centric approach, with a vow to guide the students to  complete their course of study with an emphasis to make each one of them employment ready.  The students of the department are well prepared to pursue higher education in various branches which includes but is not restricted to M.Sc. Mathematics, M.Sc. Statistics, M.Sc. Actuarial Science, MCA, MBA, CA, and ICWAI. They also have an edge over the students of other disciplines in taking up a career in employment domains that include Information Technology, Insurance, Education and Research, Data Science, and Data Security. The department offers various opportunities to students to sharpen and exhibit their talents in Mathematics by conducting several events within and outside the department.  The department regularly conducts workshops, seminars, and guest lectures by inviting resource persons from different domains to provide practical exposure to its students.  To help the students who struggle to cope up with intense learning of Mathematics at the college level, the staff members expose the students to the relevance of a concept, its application value and also invite resource persons to deliver expert sessions.
