Certificate exam B and C in NCC

The Shasun jain college cadets successfully completed their B and C certificate Exam every year .
Trainees also get some extra marks in the department of telecommunication and few other public sectors after achieving ‘B’ certificate in NCC. 75% of total training.
Certificate – B : It can be taken by SD/SW cadets of the NCC, after class year 10 and those studying for a degree. The candidate must have attended a minimum 75% of total training periods laid down in the syllabus for the first and second years of SD/SW NCC (All Wings). The cadet must have attended one Annual Training Camp/NIC. Cadets who possess Certificate – A will be awarded 10 bonus marks. An air wing cadet must do a minimum 10 Glider launches. Certificate – C : Is the highest level certificate for NCC cadets. It can be taken in the 3rd• year of training, in the 3rd year of degree course. Those who possess a Certificate – B can take it in the first year after their +2, and in the 1st year of their degree. The cadet must have attended two Annual Training Camps or one Annual Training Camp and one of the following: RD Camp Delhi, Centrally Organised Camp, Para Training Camp, Attachment Training with service units, National Integration Camp, Youth Exchange Programme, or Foreign Cruise (Navy Wing only).
Grading in Certificate Three certificates are awarded (1) A grade, (2) B grade, (3) C grade. The best certificate is A, which has the highest value. (i) A cadet has to obtain 45% marks in each paper & 50% marks in the aggregate to pass the examination. Grading is based on total marks obtain will be awarded as follows. (aa) Grading ‘A’ – Cadets obtaining 80% marks and above. (ab) Grading ‘B’ – Cadets obtaining 65% marks and above but below 80%. (ac) Grading ‘C’ – Cadets obtaining 50% marks and above but below 65%. (ad) Fail – Cadets obtaining less than 45% in any paper or less than 50% in aggregate.

1. Represented Chennai A group in Basic Leadership course which was conducted by 2(TN) AIR SQN, Coimbatore.

2. Many competitions were conducted, she participated in culturals, classical dance.

3. Got selected for Advance leadership course which was conducted by 10 Kerala BN at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala representing Tamilnadu,Puducherry and Andaman & Nicobar Directorate.

4. Also participated in cultural representing Tamilnadu,Puducherry and Andaman & Nicobar Directorate.

CH. CHAITANYA

Rank – SUO (Senior under officer) – Department – B. COM A/F, Shift-
Attended Inter group competition representing Madras ‘A’ group, which was held at kongu engineering college, erode from 20th April to 29th April.
She got selected and attended two training camps for IDSSC (Inter directorate sports shooting championship) and she was one among the 10 cadets who were further short listed for training camp 2 which was held at trichy from 25th may to 3rd June 2022. After rigorous training she was shortlisted into the final 6 cadets to attend launch camps.
After 20 days of training from professional shooter Major Thilagesh she got selected with the highest score for IDSSC shooting Team representing TN, P&AN DTE (Tamil Nādu, Puducherry, Andaman and Nicobar Islands directorate) in the 50-meter open sight prone shooting in women category. IDSSC was held at Chandigarh, Punjab from 4th July to 15th July. She ranked 5th in the competition.

P. Gayathri

Rank CQMS (Company Quarter Master Sergeant)- Department – BCA
She was detailed for the EBSB phase -l representing the directorate Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andaman and Nicobar Islands which was held at SIET College, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.The camp was to celebrate the diverse cultures of the two states. They had a wide range of events and competitions that appreciated and educated us on the diversity. They had cadet training followed by our banner competitions. She took part in solo dance, group dance, welcome dance on the gala night and the main fusion dance of Bharatanatyam and Kathak. The directorate won the second position in banner. They bagged 9 trophies for various cultural and sports events.

S.Gayathri

Department -B.Sc. Computer Science – Camp location – NTA Idayapatti Madurai
She was detailed for the EBSB phase -l representing the directorate Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andaman and Nicobar Islands which was held at SIET College, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.The camp was to celebrate the diverse cultures of the two states. She attended RDC IGC (Republic Day camp 2022) representing MADRAS A group and was further selected to attend training camp at NCC training academy Idayapatti, Madurai representing Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andaman and Nicobar Directorate. Due to her excellent performance in contingent drill, she was shortlisted to the final 10 cadets from Madras A to attend the MARINA republic day parade. She was a part of the distinguish NCC Marina republic day parade 2023.

Thal Sainik

Department- BBA
TSC (Inter Group Competition) was held between 12 July 2022 to 21 July 2022. There are six groups to compete with each other(Madras A, Madras B, Kovai, Trichy, Madurai, Puducherry). she was selected to represent MADRAS’A’ in the event Tent Pitching. The camp had various other event like Map reading, Health and Hygiene, field craft and battle craft, Obstacle Training. MADRAS ‘A’ Group won the overall banner in the Inter Group Competition.
