Overview
Languages play an important role in various aspects of our daily lives. Their role is not only limited to communication, rather it extends into the vast branches of knowledge and human sciences. Languages are capable of developing human knowledge and extending it for the benefit of human kind. The general importance of languages justifies the need for a scientific and objective study of the relationship between languages and education. The School of Languages at Shri Shankarlal Sundarbai Shasun Jain College for Women focuses to inculcate the excellence in language learning and teaching. It provides ample opportunities to all the students (Under graduate & Post graduate) of all the disciplines to acuminate their verbal skills and positive personality traits. The core objective of this school is to aggregate the core skills of all the disciplines by competently resourcing the students through effective communication and soft skills, which supports the bright future for the students. This School consists of Department of English, French, Hindi, Sanskrit and Tamil. The course offered under this School is B.A. English Literature. In the current curriculum, all the above mentioned languages are taught as second language.Department
