Overview

SANKALP (SHASUN KNOWLEDGE ADVOCACY LEAD PROGRAMME) aims to provide Certificate Courses and Add-on courses which are focused towards enhancing learning and knowledge thereby leading to a holistic development of the students. It helps to empower the students with interdisciplinary skills. The College has entered into various MoUs with ICA Edu Skills Pvt. Ltd, Intelli Expert Management Solutions, Global Theoretical Services, Aparajitha Foundations, and The Hindu Group (THG) for this purpose. All Courses are aimed to satisfy the needs of the corporate world through updated curriculum and syllabus.

Add On Courses

Students can acquire additional subjects outside of their main course in the add-on course, which is an additional course. It enables them to extend their degree of interest in each subject area and allows pupils to go beyond the requirements of the curriculum. It equips the students with the necessary skills to manage the business’s increasing complexity. Throughout the academic year 22–23, many Add-on courses have been provided by the departments for 2nd and 3rd year students.

CMA Support Centre

The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) & Shri Shankarlal Sundarbai Shasun Jain College for Women had signed an MoU on 16th of March 2021, to be CMA support Centre for conducting Foundation Examination. The CMA Support Centre was inaugurated by the President of CMA Institute CMA P. Raju Iyer along with the Principal Dr. S Padmavathi and Vice Principal Dr. S Rukmani.

In March 2021, there were 33 students enrolled in batch I. The foundation level exam of the CMA has been passed by 25 students. In September 2021, 31 students were enrolled in batch II. Out of which, the CMA Foundation Level exam was successfully passed by 21 students. All in all, 46 of our college’s students successfully cleared the CMA Foundation exam. In collaboration with the Bharadwaj Institute, we provide students with both on campus and outside training.

Learner Support Centre - UNOM - IDE

For the convenience of students who are eager to pursue their chosen courses, the University of Madras’ Learner Support Centre has established study centres at a number of colleges. The Learner Support Centre accepts applications in both online and offline formats from students who seek to enroll in any undergraduate, graduate, certificate, or diploma program. Twice a year, the admissions procedure is conducted. The Learner Support Centre – UNOM IDE Study Centre was established on our campus in 2022 to assist our students in pursuing their higher education in order to organize and define their careers. As a result, on February 22, 2022, the Learner Support Centre – UNOM IDE began the online admission procedure.About 200 candidates have inquired about the University of Madras’ remote learning programs. According to their eligibility, students were adequately led and advised to enroll in the proper courses. They completed the online application process at their convenience. Ten students were admitted for the calendar year and 28 students were admitted for the academic year when LSC opened its doors in 2022. Nine students have already been admitted under different streams for the calendar year 2023 entrance.

Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning (SCDL)

One of the top distance learning institutions in India, Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning (SCDL), has been providing high-quality instruction for the past 20 years. A total of 23 nations, including India, have sent students from close to one lakh to enroll thus far. Additionally, they provide study guides, online courses, e-learning materials, and faculty help.

After agreeing to a Memorandum of Understanding for the academic year 2023–2024, Symbiosis established the SCDL (Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning) on our campus. Admissions have begun for the 2023 academic year
