OVERVIEW
The Counselling cell has made its sole purpose to provide assistance and help students who might be in need and to promote the mental health of the institution. The Counselling cell offers a safe place for the students to talk about their mental health issues through individual and group sessions. The Counselling cell also conducts awareness programs to understand the various issues faced by the students and ways to manage them.
VISION
- The vision of the counselling cell is to create a safe and confidential space for students to express their feelings, concerns, and help them deal with a wide range of emotional challenges. We strive to empower students to build resilience, navigate challenges, and thrive academically, emotionally, and socially.
MISSION
- The mission of Counselling Cell Sukhada is to provide a range of counselling services, including:
- Individual therapy
- Group therapy
- Support Groups
- Awareness programs and Workshops
- To educate students about mental health, destigmatize seeking help, and bring in a supportive and inclusive campus environment.
OBJECTIVES
- To create a safe place for the students to express and regulate their emotions.

COUNSELLORMs.Keziah
Keziah Verghese, is a psychologist committed to fostering healing and personal growth within her clients.
Ms Keziah approaches her practice with profound empathy, acknowledging the strength and resilience present in each individual.
She holds a master's degree in counselling psychology and five years of professional experience.
Ms Keziah has received training in various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Acceptance Commitment Therapy.
She employs an integrative approach that blends various therapeutic modalities to provide comprehensive and personalized care with a dedicated focus on trauma-focused therapy.
HAMSIKA
COUNSELLORMs. Hamsika G
She has completed her Masters in Counselling Psychology and has experience working with children, adolescents and adults.
She believes that every individual has their own story and their own way of healing while counselling provides the safe space and insights to do so.
She uses an integrated approach which includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness and Dialetical Behavioural Therapy in her sessions.
Her approach is grief and trauma informed while also tailoring each session according to the needs of the students.
