Overview

Shri Shankarlal Sundarbai Shasun Jain College for Women was established in the year 2005. The School of Commerce offers the Bachelor’s Programme in Commerce – B.Com Honours, General, Accounting & Finance, Corporate Secretaryship and post graduate program in M.Com (AF). School of Commerce embodies and strives to deliver world-class education in various branches of Commerce.

The School of Commerce has the state-of-the-art learning facilities for the students to impart the holistic education with a WIFI enabled campus. The college also possesses high tech labs and digital accessed e-library facilities. The school provides ample scope for creative thinking and participative learning through following an innovative pedagogy in teaching learning process through flipped classroom methodology, ERP facility, LMS and ICT enabled teaching student centric methodology. Outcome Based Education (OBE) is adopted with Program Outcome and Course Outcome for the benefit of the students.

The school has also nurtured its students to meet the expectations of the competitive corporate world and has been home for many budding entrepreneurs. The school pioneers in motivating and encouraging the students to showcase their potential and innumerable talents in various curricular & co-curricular activities & competitions. The combination of core skills and specialized knowledge provided in each programme enables students to enrich their professional and managerial skills.

Campus connects through interactive guest lectures, workshops, internships, student projects brings knowledge, skills and ability to analyze and synthesize the contemporary application oriented perspective through classroom learning. The School of Commerce has collaborated with Professional Bodies like Madras Management Association, Institute of Cost Accountants of India, Hindustan Chamber of Commerce, Andhra Chamber of Commerce, etc.

The departments provide various Add-on Courses and Certificate Courses to the students to enhance their skills on aptitude, personality and social growth of students. The courses serve the need of academics as well and prepares students for diversified fields such as business, entrepreneurship, research, teaching, human resource, finance & economic planning, etc. All programmes are a blend of theoretical thoughts, practical activities and internship training.

The courses offered by School of Commerce enables the students to gain a comprehensive view in the key areas of accounting, finance, marketing, organizational behavior, human resource, taxation, etc.

Eminent faculty members strive hard and work for the excellence of the future generation. Faculties actively participate in various FDPs, Workshops, Seminars and Conferences. Effective Learning Management System is enabled for the smooth knowledge imparting to the students.
