The Placement Cell of Shri Shankarlal Sundarbai Shasun Jain College for Women plays a crucial role in locating job opportunities for Under Graduates and Post Graduates passing out from the college by keeping in touch with reputed firms and industrial establishments. The Placement Cell operates round the year to facilitate contacts between companies and graduates. The number of students placed through the campus interviews is continuously rising. On invitation, many reputed industries visit the institute to conduct interviews.
The college started the Placement cell in the year 2007.We have been successful in maintaining our high placement statistics over the years and the fact that our students bear the recession blues with record breaking placements itself is a testimony to our quality. Our ingenious alumnae have set new standards in the corporate world through their estimable contributions and it is our firm conviction that we will continue that legacy in the years to come.

Industry conclave
Industry conclave for students in collaboration with ICT Academy on the 24th of September 2022 where stalwarts of the industry engaged in a discussion with students of the science sector. The session saw five experts share their experiences and knowledge to the students and instead of focusing on technical knowledge that students acquire through their respective courses, the range of the topics discussed were wider and generalised. There was a special emphasis on the scope of women employment and career opportunities. There was a Q&A session that brought up some interesting ideas and conversation. The event was a grand success and it proved to be massively helpful to the students for identifying and making the best use of opportunities that come their way.

Workshop on “Interview Skills – Global Talent Track Private Limited
A workshop was conducted for the all streams through virtual mode on 28.10.2021 to 29.10.2021. The session was handled by Ms. Kanchanaa S, Sr. Manager-Delivery, Global Talent Track Private Limited.
Career Guidance Program on account of our Honorable CM’s Bday was organised.They have selected only 2 self financing college & we are one among them.Our CM inagurated “Naan Mudhalvan Thittam”& addressed the students & we live streamed the event in our college, 200 final years attended the same.
We had a panel discussion by our alumni working in 5 different companies on : Corporate expectations from the Academic Institutions ,A placement perspective” .
We also organised various competitions for students on Resume writing; Mock Aptitude test, Mock Interviews, Coding competitions & provided e-certificates to the best performers.
Campus Drives 2021-22
This Academic year 2021-22 the Placement cell have started the campus drives Virtually with Top IT companies like Infosys, Wipro, CTS, TCS, HCL, Capgemini, Wipro, Sutherland, Mckinsey, E&Y, Hdfc, star health Insurance and from March 2022 we had Physical drives in the campus.
Totally 26 companies have conducted Placement Drives and 776 students were placed with 94% placements in various sectors like IT,ITES, Finance& Accounts, Banking & Insurance, & Health care sectors..
Placement Day 2022
IQAC and The Placement Cell organized “The Placement Day (Choice for Supremacy) & HR Conclave” on April 23rd, 2022, Saturday at 10.00 a.m. in the college premises. We provided offer letters to the students. we have organised a HR conclave on the topic”GIG Economy-Building a Robust workforce with inclusive HR Frameworks”where one moderator & 5 panelists participated in the same.We have also organised 5 different events for the students like career expo,Mock job fair,Block & tackle,Paper presentation & Ms .Corporate to create awareness among the students about our college placements,corporate culture etc. Post the events on the same day we had the valediction where we have organised Prize & certificate distribution for the winners of various events. We ended the event by a networking lunch with our Principal, VP, HOD’s, Directors, Placement officer, Placement assistant & Student council & HR’s.

During our batch, we had half our college in online mode. And given the situation, the college did its very best with the placement.
Everyone from all departments was given great opportunities from many great companies including startups and corporates. They also provided amazing training for placements, for the students to face the interviews well.
I planned on switching my domain after I chose BCA. So I waited for a better role. And 4 months after completing BCS, I got to know about the opening for HR at TCS from our placement cell.
