Retro Shop

On December 19, 2022, Our Secretary Madam, Smt. Usha Abhaya Srisrimal, and Associate Secretary, Dr. Harish L Metha, opened ten small campus businesses in retro model shops. The major goal is to provide the aspiring business owners with practical business experience. For a period of 11 months, alumni and current students are given the chance to effectively run a business on campus. Additionally, Shabash ED cell supports them in expanding their business outside of the college.

Vending Stall

Shabash promotes and encourages budding entrepreneurs to take up the Vend in stalls inside campus. It is a platform to exhibit and enhance the Marketing skill of the budding Entrepreneurs. It gives an opportunity to every student to learn the skill of entrepreneurship. Equal opportunities will be given to all interested students to run the  vend in stall throughout the year with stalls like Textiles, Food stall, Jewellery Nail art, Mehandi, Accessories, etc. These vend in stalls help them to gain business knowledge and gives them the confidence to become future entreprenuers.

Shabash has initiated a transmission of physical vend in stall to virtual platform by onboarding our students creative products and services in the online portal of Shasun Bazaar.stores through Instamogo.  It facilitates a real time experience and global exposure. The number of products in the virtual store on board  by our students were more than 800+ products in the categories of handcrafts, textiles, jewellery, Cakes and homemade chocolates, Herbal products like Neem soaps, Aloe Vera body lotion, Herbal shampoo, services like wedding planners and event management.

Aavin Parlour –Startup Campus Business

Aavin is a Co-operative Government unit which was setup in the year 2018 in our college campus by Shabash- An Entrepreneur Development Cell.  It was established for the purpose of encouraging the students to develop and learn the entrepreneur skills through managing the Aavin parlour inside the campus. Aspiring entrepreneur students were taken as interns to run the Aavin parlour by Shabash. The students were trained for a period of 3 months and a certificate was issued by the college on the successful completion of the training period. The Aavin parlour operated between 9am to 5pm by shift I & II students.

Students have gained various kinds of practical knowledge to run the business themselves which gives them the confidence to take up as a startup by the motivation of Shabash. Around 55 students have successfully completed their internships in Aavin from July 2018 – March 2020.

The Aavin parlour which was established by the college has generated good profit and the student interns were able to learn generation of profits and manage  the business.

Shabash has initiated to give incubation business opportunities to alumni students who have completed their internship in Aavin in the year 2020-21. The management was magnanimous to accept the startup proposal of Aavin by Shasuneon entrepreneurs inside the college campus. The college has facilitated with the security deposit Rs.20, 000 for Aavin and also contributed Rs.20,000 towards Seed capital for the students to support them to become an entrepreneur.

Shabash Incubation Centre

Shabash Incubation Centre is an idea generation hub to trigger the innovative ideas for an incubation startup.  Incubation hub facilitates activities like mentoring workshops, live demo projects, model projects, B-plan competitions, Idea generation competition, etc.

The incubation centre will facilitate the students with the development of proto type products and support them with the necessary technology. The college will provide financial support in the incubation stage of the product development. The college will also help the student to obtain the patent right for the innovative product developed by the students in the incubation centre.
